Personal work


I believe strongly in learning by doing. I’ve tackled creative work, project management, production, admin, and more — and that has helped me understand and communicate with others in those roles.

I believe in curiosity and compassion, and I believe in the profound power of completely nerding out with other people. To be engaging is to be engaged. I am always excited to learn about what gets other people excited and ready to listen to what needs to be heard.

As a strategist and researcher, my main goal is to elevate the voices, stories, and lived experiences of real people. 

This means:

  • Paying attention to marginalized people and communities

  • Valuing qualitative research for deep, personal insights and perspectives

  • Treating people with respect and dignity throughout every step of research and ideation

  • Checking against biases, stereotypes, and dismissals

  • Drilling down on “externalities” that impact audiences, their behaviors, decision-making, and wellbeing 

  • Becoming and being the fans’ biggest fan
